Getting Started

Welcome to ARIS. This guide walks you through everything you need to go from installation to your first captured image. If you do not have equipment handy, you can use the built-in simulator to explore the app right away.

Where to Begin

Section titled “Where to Begin”
Installation Install ARIS on iOS, Android, or web, and set up your imaging backend.
Try the Simulator Explore ARIS without any hardware using the built-in equipment simulator.
First Connection Connect ARIS to your real imaging equipment over your local network.
Your First Image Capture your first frame, plate solve it, and confirm everything is working.

If you are brand new to ARIS, we recommend this order:

  1. Install the app on your preferred platform.
  2. Launch the simulator to familiarize yourself with the interface and controls.
  3. Connect to your equipment when you are ready to image.
  4. Capture your first frame to verify your setup end to end.

Each section is self-contained, so feel free to jump to whichever step matches where you are.
